How Do We Find a Book in the Library!

Thanks to Elaine Rumney, Library Media Specialist, for coming into our classroom today to help the students understand how to find a book using Destiny Quest.

The students wore their PJ's to school today because they earned enough HODAG PAWS to have three classroom incentives.  One of which was Pajama Day with a movie :)

The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything

The students presented their Reader's Theater today to friends, family and other students.
They worked together, listened to each other and really understood the story.
I am so proud of them!
The 1st grade amazing cast always likes to pose for a picture, but they can't wait to do a silly one too!

The students also gave Lindsey a song of praise that made her and them shine!

Pumpkin Investigation!

Exploring, Questioning and Examining Pumpkins

My mother called and asked if I wanted pumpkins for my classroom.  I gratefully said yes.  My students were surprise and totally engaged in this science activity.  Thanks Mom for the pumpkins and Mrs. McCue for volunteering in the classroom.
