Magical Classroom Incentive!

Today we shared our PBIS Classroom Incentive with Ms. Cook's first grade class.  We started the incentive by sharing our Reader's Theater.  The princesses read "Cinderella Waiting" and then the princes read "In Search of Cinderella".  After this the students went to their respected tables and began to make their Cinderella Text to Teach Salad.  The building of the salad incorporated what we have been learning in the classroom about story elements.

Investigate It!

My Informational Presentation

Today at 8:25 a.m. in the classroom

Today the students will present their topics about weather using the  Biteslide engages students and helps them develop creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking.  The slidebooks are a fun way to incorporate these 21st century skills.  The essential questions that were the focus of this investigation include:
    • Why is it important for readers/writers to ask questions about key details?
    • How do authors’ choice of words and illustrations help us learn about a topic?
    • How do I share my knowledge about a topic I am interested in with others?
