Researching Habitats!

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

This week the students chose a habitat and have been researching to learn more about what it is, where it is, along with the plants and animals that live in that habitat.

Some of the children have also begun to add an informational illustration for their research!

We are researching the Rain Forest!

I am researching about the Desert!

We want to know more about the Wetlands!

Listening and Speaking to Each Other to Start Off the New Year!

Listening and Speaking to Each Other!

This week we are taking a close look at the Arctic and its habitat. The students broke into groups and analyzed the text features in their shared reading book Arctic Life As they discussed the different informational text features they shared what they thought and why.  It was great to walk around and observe their communication and their reasoning.

Headbanz

To kick off Daily 5, the students asked and answered questions while building their imagination and memory skills while engaging in the literacy game, Headbanz. All students had a great time and were involved in language and fun!
