A Kid Filled Day in Kindergarten
Walking Through the Kindergarten Door to a
New World of Learning!
Those first few moments of our day make such a difference in making new friends and feeling awesome. We began the morning with looking at books, exploring math manipulative and working together to build giant floor puzzles.
Next we had computer lab where the students logged onto the computers all by themselves and explored the educational games on http://pbskids.org/
Then we went outside to walk around the playground, checked out the equipment and talk about how to be safe, responsible and respectful when we are outside. The students had fun learning how to play on a
peaceful playground!

Write Show and Share Begins Friday September 5, 2014!
To encourage children’s curiosity and to inspire young writers we will be having Write, Show and Share every Friday. Click on above title to go to the classroom schedule.
Write Show and Share is different then show and tell. The children will need to think of clues to describe what they brought to share. Encourage your child to use descriptive words. At the beginning of the school year you may help your child write the clues. When he/she presents they will need to read the the first clue and then call on others in the classroom to guess what they have brought to share. If no one has a correct guess, then he/she will reread and continue to the next clue. I will always be there to help them if they need it. Example is listed below:
Write Show and Tell Clues
- It is round.
- It is hard.
- I got it from the store.
- I can play a game with it.
- It can bounce.
Can you guess what it is?
