Collaborating, Discussing and Sharing
The students have chosen their favorite author and corresponding favorite book based on our author studies of Mem Fox and Robert Munsch. Today they shared with each other why they chose that book and a connection they have to the character or the central message. Next they worked in small groups to discuss the character. It was interesting to walk around and listen to their collaboration. Finally, they worked independently to begin their retelling of the story.
