Wemberly Worried and Worried and Worried!

My kindergarten students love to participate in our daily read alouds and lessons. Today they made connections with the character Wemberly. They shared all of the things Wemberly was worried about and we recorded them. Then they turned and talked to share what worries them. It amazes me how far they have grown as readers and writers in just 18 days!

  • We can recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences of letters.
  • We can understand that words are separated by spaces in print.
  • Produce and expand complete sentences in shared language activities.
  • Use words and phrases acquired through conversations, reading and being read to, and responding to texts.
